Dr. Lynda Wilton has more than 30 years experience in Pharmacovigilance & Pharmcoepidemiology. Dr Wilton worked at the Drug Safety Research Unit (DSRU) as a Principal Research Fellow, Manager of GCP & QA when it was founded in 1980 until 2009.
Her specific research interests include the use of medicines in children, the development of paediatric pharmacovigilance and also the use of medicines by pregnant women.
Dr. Wilton was appointed as a Visiting Honorary Lecturer at the University of Southampton, a post she held for three years. In November 2002, she was appointed as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Portsmouth and she also has links with the Centre for Paediatric Pharmacy Research at the London School of Pharmacy.
She is a member of the Education and Training Project group of the International Society of Pharmacovigilance (ISoP) and is on the editorial board of the journal Drug Safety. Her publications are in the fields of inhalation toxicology, pharmacovigilance and pharmacoepidemiology.
